Yes!!!  Another in a series of great games to get your kids moving.  Every year I buy it at soon as it comes out and use it during my gymnastics unit as a warmup in the month of January.  4 students are chosen to be playing the game while everyone else "practices" for their turn.  Tons of movement and tons of fun.  Let's Dance!!!

It's out!!!  I always look forward to playing these games with my students.  Songs such as "Happy", "Let It Go", and "What Does The Fox Say" make this game a must have for students of all ages.  Rated E10+ but has songs for younger kids too.  Let's Dance!!!

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago although it was released a couple of months ago.  First impressions: I hope it is as good as the "Just Dance" titles below.  After playing it with my students for a couple of weeks now I have to say it is as good as the Just Dance games.  Songs are very energetic and incredibly fun.  I highly recommend this game that is great for all ages.

From time to time I get asked what exergaming system I like the most.  While I like the freedom of having no controller and using my whole body to play the game, I keep coming back to the Wii for games like these.  Super easy to play and tons of fun.  The titles you see below are good for students aged 10 and up (Due to song lyrics).  That being said, there are some appropriate songs on these titles for younger kids too.  I have students stand in the gym as I project the wii on a giant screen.  I select 4 students to play the game as the other students try to mimic the movements.  I then rotate all students through so everyone has a chance to play.  You may even want to have the students who are not playing hold an eraser (or something like it) so they get into the habit of holding something while they play.  By the end of one song, you will be sweating!!!  Let's Dance!!!!!!!!!!

First, let me say that my experience with this game was limited to playing it on the iPad.  Then my school got this game on the Xbox Kinect.  Talk about exercise!  Using your arms to slice the fruit that pops up on the screen really gives you a good cardio workout.  The great thing about this game is that you can play against someone else and that each game only lasts 90 seconds.  That means many students can play this game with limited waiting.  I downloaded the game directly to the Xbox via a points card I purchased from Gamestop.  Check out the video below to see how active the game is!

This is another game I downloaded directly to the Xbox.  The great thing about this game is that none of the games keep score.  There are many mini games that put you in the action by having you wade through lava, pop balloons, break out of ice sculptures, plus a whole lot more.  My kids LOVED this game.  Check out the video below to see a sample of the game.
