3 minutes For Fitness
(added 3/22/15)
If you follow most standard lesson plan formats, students come into class and begin doing an instant activity. After that, most teachers will engage their students in some sort of fitness type activity that includes muscular strength & endurance and/or flexibility. This is the idea behind "3 Minutes For Fitness". All of the QR codes are linked to short (10-30 second) clips from YouTube showing easy to follow exercises. The iPad or iPhone is connected to a screen (TV or Projector) and then a student is asked to pick one of the codes to scan. When the exercise is displayed, all students must do that exercise for 1 minute. When completed, a 2nd, and then 3rd code is scanned. To get you all started, I've included all the codes you see here (48 Total Codes). Enjoy!

(added 3/22/15)
Early in the year I ask parents to send me pictures of their kids being active. I take the best pictures and create this bulletin board. Kids loving to see themselves. Idea adapted from a bulletin board on Pinterest.
