About Me
Hello, my name is Kevin Tiller and I am the Physical Education teacher at West Elementary School in Andover, Massachusetts. First, let me tell you a little about myself.
I have been a Physical Education teacher for 20+ years both in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I graduated from Plymouth State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education (Teacher Certification concentration). I then graduated from the University Of New Hampshire in 1996 with a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology (Adapted Physical Education concentration). I absolutely love being a Physical Education teacher!!!
In addition to teaching I also conduct workshops through the University Of New Hampshire's continuing education program in topics such as: "Incorporating Math Into Physical Education" and "Enhancing Intruction Through Technology In Physical Education". I present workshops at state Physical Education conferences and have 3 books published. One through The Great Activities Publishing Company titled: "The Great Games Handbook". My second book is called "Phys. Ed. Fun & Fitness" which I wrote, illustrated, and self published. My third book is called "Instant Activities Volume 1: Dice Games" which I also wrote, illustrated, and self published. I enjoy creating my own music and videos to use in class and consider myself a "PE Geek". I am a huge Star Wars fan and enjoy the intelligent melodies of bands like Rush, Dream Theater, and Devin Townsend.
In February of 2015 I received a phone call indicating that I won the 2015 Elementary P.E. Teacher Of The Year Award in Massachusetts. It is an honor that I share with my family, students, and other great P.E. professionals that I communicate and collaborate with on Twitter and Voxer. Not sure what either of those can do for you professionally? Email me. You will be blown away.
In my "spare" time I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, music, visiting the Apple store, and wood working. I hope you enjoy your visit to Phys.Ed.Review!!!
