positive behavior incentives
I have always been a fan of using positive incentives in Physical Education. Rewarding good behavior is important to me. Recognizing those students who try to do the right thing should be recognized. To that end I have created the following incentives...
jedi council cerTificate
(added 8/14/16)
In my habit of always wanting to do things bigger and better for my students, I created a certificate for all students who are chosen to be on the "Jedi Council".
I wore an awesome star wars t-shirt sticker
(added 8/14/16)
Just for wearing a Star Wars t-shirt a student gets a sticker? Yes they do.
f.o.r.c.e. stickers
(added 8/20/15)
At the end of every class, those students who have displayed the "F.O.R.C.E" are chosen to receive a sticker.
I printed them out using Avery labels...
jedi council postcards
(ADDED 8/20/15)
At the end of the month, I select one student to be on the Jedi Council. That student is sent a postcard in the mail informing them (and their parents) that they have earned the right to be a Jedi Council member. No one knows who it will be (except me). Those students get special privileges in class.
I use a company called Vistaprint to create the cards...
jedi council bulletin board
(ADDED 8/20/15)
Students selected to be on the Jedi Council have their picture taken and posted on the bulletin board in the gym...
